Job Title: Warehouse Associate (Class A CDL) Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate with a Class A CDL to support warehouse operations, inventory management, and administrative tasks. This role is primarily focused on hands-on warehouse work and accurate inventory administration, with a small portion of time spent moving trailers between locations on company property and briefly operating on public roadways. The position offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule in a stable environment for someone who enjoys combining physical work with data entry and documentation.
Responsibilities
Move trailers between designated areas of the facility as needed using a Class A CDL, including brief operation on public roadways.
Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently to support daily shipping and receiving activities.
Verify incoming and outgoing materials using paper inventory sheets to ensure accuracy of shipments.
Accurately enter inventory data into the company computer system to maintain up-to-date records.
Generate final invoices and maintain organized, accurate inventory documentation.
Assist with general warehouse operations, including organizing materials and maintaining a clean, orderly work area.
Inspect products and shipments for quality, completeness, and accuracy before storage or dispatch.
Support team members with a variety of warehouse duties, including forklift-related tasks if needed, to ensure smooth workflow across the department.
Essential Skills
Valid Class A CDL.
Prior experience in warehouse, shipping and receiving, or inventory-related roles (preferred).
Comfortable using computers for data entry, inventory updates, and invoice processing.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and inventory control.
Motivated to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts is beneficial.
Background in truck or trailer movement within a yard or facility environment is an advantage.
Familiarity with paper-based inventory tracking and transitioning data into computer systems.
Comfort working in an active, physically demanding warehouse role involving walking, lifting, and loading.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support various warehouse functions throughout the day.
Why Work Here?
Employees enjoy a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule and a supportive, laid-back work environment. The leadership team values understanding and flexibility, promoting a culture where reliability, teamwork, and continuous learning are appreciated. The role offers a stable setting with opportunities to grow skills in both warehouse operations and inventory administration.
Work Environment
The role is based in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures throughout the year. The facility is not air-conditioned, so summer months can be warm, and while the warehouse is heated in winter, frequent trailer traffic at dock doors can create cooler working conditions. This is an active, hands-on position that involves regular walking, lifting, loading trailers, and working on the warehouse floor around trucks and material-handling equipment. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, providing a predictable daytime schedule.
