Construction Procurement SpecialistOne of the fastest growing builders in the area is seeking a Procurement Specialist. This builder offers a broad range of both design and build services, both residential and commercial. Their dedication to designing and building distinctive and timeless projects is reflected in each and every project. For over fifteen years, this builder has completed some of the largest residential and commercial builds in the area.This position is responsible for managing the purchasing and procurement needs of construction projects. The Procurement Specialist will coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to secure materials and equipment, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure materials are available when needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.Why You Want This Position:Year-round, full-time employmentCompetitive Pay: Up to $35/hour, depending on experienceBenefits for eligible employees: 6 paid holidays and 1 week PTO - bumps up to 2 weeks after first year, 4% 401k matching after 1st yearEssential Functions and Duties:Source, negotiate, and purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies from qualified vendors and suppliersBuild and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national suppliers and subcontractorsReview project plans and specifications to determine material needs and coordinate procurement with construction schedulesPrepare purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements while negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedulesMonitor supplier performance, material quality, lead times, and deliveries to help prevent project delaysMaintain accurate procurement records and budgets while resolving delivery, invoicing, and material discrepancies and identifying cost-saving opportunitiesQualifications:3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain managementStrong negotiation, vendor management, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with procurement or construction management software and Microsoft ExcelWorking knowledge of construction materials, methods, project sequencing, and specificationsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications; residential or light commercial construction experience preferredValid driver's license; degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent experienceGet in touch!
