Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
Join a growing warehouse and distribution center as a Forklift Operator, where you will perform general warehouse duties including operating material handling equipment, supporting loading and unloading activities, and helping maintain accurate inventory. You will work with stand-up electric forklifts and high-reach equipment in a clean, climate-controlled environment and receive extensive training on unique systems and tools.
Responsibilities
Operate stand-up electric forklifts and high-reach equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform general warehouse duties such as packing, picking, and general labor tasks as needed.
Load and unload trucks and other vehicles, ensuring products are handled carefully and accurately.
Use RF scanners and SAP-based inventory systems to track, locate, and update product information.
Assist with inventory management, including counting, organizing, and stocking products.
Move pallets using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
Work comfortably at heights while operating high-reach equipment and performing related tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with warehouse standards.
Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational and productivity goals.
Essential Skills
At least 1 to 2 years of previous forklift operating experience.
Ability to operate stand-up electric forklifts and high-reach equipment or willingness to learn through training.
Previous warehouse experience such as order picking, stocking, packing, or general warehouse operations.
Basic computer skills with the ability to use a SAP inventory system.
Experience using RF scanners for picking, packing, and inventory tasks.
Ability to work comfortably while standing for extended periods.
Capability to work at heights when operating high-reach equipment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in loading, unloading, and inventory tasks.
Commitment to following safety procedures and using required protective equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
warehouse operations such as picking, packing, and general labor.
Comfort working in a structured, technology-enabled environment using computers and scanners.
Willingness to participate in certifications and training to advance skills and responsibilities.
Ability to work Monday through Friday on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Work Environment
The role is based in a new, very clean warehouse and distribution facility with a climate-controlled environment that supports comfortable year-round work. The standard schedule is 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm. The operation uses stand-up electric forklifts, high-reach equipment, RF scanners, pallet jacks, and a SAP inventory system as core technologies. The dress code requires closed-toe shoes and safety glasses, and you will spend much of the day standing and working at various heights while adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
