Job Title: 3rd Shift - Compounding Mixer/Blender
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician supports production operations in a flavor and fragrances facility by assisting machine operators, handling materials, and performing mixing, blending, and compounding tasks. This role involves working with a wide range of flavors, following documented procedures and work orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment while providing support across various areas of the facility as needed.
Responsibilities
Assist machine operators with off-loading materials and general production support.
Manually move buckets and vats of flavors and other production materials throughout the facility.
Assist with mixing, blending, and compounding products according to documented procedures and recipes.
Work in an environment with a variety of strong flavors present at any given time, such as vanilla, garlic, and fish oil.
Follow all safety regulations, rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Perform cleaning tasks throughout the facility to maintain a sanitary production environment.
Clean bowls and equipment after food production runs to prepare for the next batch.
Read and follow documentation and work orders accurately to ensure proper production processes.
Use a tablet or similar device to access and record production information as required.
Support different areas of production as a helper and assist where needed based on operational demands.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, including consistent lifting of 50+ pounds.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including beard masks when applicable, and comply with grooming requirements.
Adapt to changing production schedules, including extended hours and weekend work when production volume is high.
Essential Skills
Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, or a similar environment involving blending and following recipes.
Ability to read and understand documentation, work orders, and production instructions.
Comfort with mixing, blending, production, manufacturing, and compounding processes.
Knowledge of or experience working under GMP and FDA-related guidelines in a production setting.
Strong material handling skills, including the ability to manually move buckets and vats of product.
Capability to lift 50+ pounds on a consistent basis.
Ability to use a tablet or similar digital device for work-related tasks.
Willingness to work with a wide variety of strong flavors and fragrances in the production environment.
Reliability in following safety regulations and maintaining a clean work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Background in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical production is highly preferred.
Experience with production blending, mixing, and compounding processes.
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA-regulated environments.
Comfort with following recipes and precise production instructions.
Ability to adapt to different tasks and support multiple areas of the facility as a production helper.
Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment, including beard masks, and comply with grooming standards.
Comfort working around strong and varied smells in a flavor and fragrance production environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in a flavor and fragrances production facility where a wide range of strong smells, such as vanilla, garlic, and fish oil, are present on a regular basis. The position is on 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with the need to work additional hours and weekends when production demand is high, including potential 12-hour days and Saturdays. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, but the aromas remain noticeable throughout the workspace. The environment requires frequent material handling and consistent lifting of 50+ pounds. Dress code includes appropriate PPE and adherence to grooming standards, such as wearing a beard mask when applicable or maintaining no facial hair in designated areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
