Job Title: Construction Laborer (General Contracting)
Job Description
This role supports day-to-day site operations on a general contracting construction project. The construction laborer sets up and maintains site facilities, assists with material handling, and helps build temporary structures to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
Set up trailer alleys, including assembling furniture and organizing site trailers.
Keep trailers clean and orderly at all times, including regular tidying and basic housekeeping.
Assist with moving materials around the site, including tools, boxes, wood boards, and other construction materials.
Support construction activities related to decking around trailer alleys and other temporary structures on site.
Assist with the construction of temporary resting areas and other temporary site facilities as needed.
Perform municipal building clean-up tasks, including dusting, sweeping, and mopping, particularly on snowy or wet days.
Support general civil construction and dirt work activities as directed by site leadership.
Perform general labor tasks on a solar-related construction site and other outdoor construction activities.
Use hand tools and basic construction equipment safely and effectively for assigned tasks.
Assist with landscaping-related tasks as needed around the construction site.
Follow all site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Essential Skills
Experience in civil construction, dirt work, or general construction labor.
Ability to work safely on an active construction site, including solar and outdoor projects.
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, and kneel for extended periods while performing physical tasks.
Ability to lift 50 lbs or more to at or near head level on a regular basis.
Ability to carry materials such as tools, boxes, and wood boards across the site.
Comfort working with hand tools and basic construction tools.
Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards (MVR must be passable).
Ability to drive company trucks while onsite as required.
Reliability and willingness to work a Monday-Saturday schedule, including overtime opportunities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working on open construction sites in varying weather conditions.
Experience in general labor, landscaping, or similar physically demanding roles.
Familiarity with construction equipment and technologies such as GPS blade and CAT machinery is a plus.
Exposure to solar construction or related outdoor infrastructure projects is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work takes place on an open construction site with both indoor and outdoor tasks. Conditions include exposure to mud, wet surfaces, and cold weather in cooler months, as well as high heat during the summer. The role involves physically demanding work such as lifting, carrying, bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling throughout the day. You will work around heavy equipment and construction vehicles, including company trucks, and may be exposed to dust and debris. Appropriate workwear suitable for outdoor construction, including durable clothing and footwear, is expected to ensure safety and comfort in changing weather and site conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
