Project Manager (Mechanical Construction)
Our client in the Everett, WA location is currently hiring for a Project Manager. This position is an onsite opportunity supporting large-scale mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects valued at $10M+, overseeing budgets and schedules, coordinating subcontractors and trades, and supporting mechanical scopes including HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal systems.
Pay - $60.00 - $62.50/hour (Depending on years of experience, project size, mechanical construction experience, software proficiency, and relevant industry experience)
Location - Everett, WA (Onsite)
Schedule - Standard Monday-Friday (40+ hours per week)
Contract Type - Contract-to-Hire (12 Months)
Responsibilities
Manage large-scale construction projects from active execution through future phases.
Drive projects to meet schedule and budget objectives through detailed planning, tracking, and forecasting.
Oversee daily project operations, including subcontractor and trade management.
Coordinate closely with onsite superintendents to support successful project execution.
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
Review, track, and manage project budgets, cost breakdowns, billing, and financial performance.
Collaborate with internal accounting and reporting teams to maintain accurate project records.
Support mechanical construction scopes including HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal systems.
Maintain accountability for project financials and overall project performance.
Provide project leadership during critical project milestones and immediate project needs.
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to client expectations.
Support ongoing project expansion and future project opportunities.
Qualification Requirements
5+ years of experience managing mechanical construction projects.
Proven experience managing construction projects valued at $10M+ in scope.
Experience supporting or leading projects in the $30M+ range preferred.
Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and forecasting.
Proven experience managing project financials, billings, and budget responsibility.
Ability to build schedules and manage project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
Hands-on experience managing subcontractors, trade partners, and client relationships.
Technical understanding of MEP systems and the ability to read and interpret construction and design drawings.
Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal construction environments.
Experience with project management and construction accounting software.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing industrial construction projects.
Experience supporting semiconductor or cleanroom construction projects.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with Vista by Viewpoint software.
Experience managing mechanical renovation or retrofit projects.
Strong understanding of construction accounting and project reporting processes.
Disqualifiers
Less than 5 years of mechanical construction project management experience.
No experience managing projects valued at $10M+ in scope.
No experience managing project budgets, forecasting, or financial performance.
No experience coordinating subcontractors, trades, and client relationships.
Limited exposure to HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, or MEP-related construction projects.
No ability to read and understand construction or design drawings.
Primarily residential project experience without commercial or industrial project exposure.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $62.50/hr.
