CDL Truck Driver (Class B) - Local Delivery & Material Handling

JWF Industries is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Truck Drivers to join our growing team.

This position is responsible for safely transporting and delivering materials between JWF facilities and local customer locations throughout the Johnstown, PA area. The CDL Truck Driver will operate company vehicles, assist with loading and unloading materials, maintain transportation records, and support material handling and kitting operations as needed.

Candidates with experience in CDL driving, local delivery routes, commercial transportation, material handling, logistics, warehouse operations, and manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties

Safely operate company straight trucks and commercial vehicles to transport materials between JWF facilities and customer locations.

Complete local delivery routes throughout the Johnstown, PA region.

Load, unload, secure, and transport materials while following all applicable safety requirements.

Understand and comply with load limits, weight restrictions, cargo securement requirements, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Properly use straps, chains, and other cargo securement devices to ensure safe transportation of materials.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.

Maintain required driver logs, transportation records, and delivery documentation.

Verify the accuracy of shipments, deliveries, and shipping paperwork.

Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and kitting functions as needed.

Coordinate with production, shipping, receiving, and logistics personnel to support operational requirements.

Operate in a safe and professional manner at all times.

Follow all company safety policies and transportation procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Level

Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Experience

Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL license.

Previous experience operating straight trucks, commercial vehicles, or delivery vehicles preferred.

Knowledge of DOT regulations, cargo securement requirements, load limits, and transportation safety procedures preferred.

Experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling environments is a plus.

Ability to safely load, unload, and transport materials.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Ability to maintain transportation records and documentation accurately.

PA Air Brake Endorsement preferred.

Excellent attendance, reliability, and customer service skills.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping), and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly enter and exit vehicles and assist with loading and unloading operations. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements include color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee works in both transportation and manufacturing environments. This position requires driving and working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold. When working in production areas, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and elevated noise levels.
