Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Medical and Outpatient Services Quality Team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of an integrated quality and safety program that advances patient care, employee safety, regulatory compliance, and organizational excellence across DCT Outpatient Services.
The Outpatient Services Quality and Safety Program Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of quality and safety initiatives across Outpatient Services. Key responsibilities include:
Intradepartmental and interdepartmental coordinated planning of quality and safety activities.
Integrated and equitable planning with service line, federal, state, and local partners, as well as community partners.
Coordinate service line quality and safety activities and provide expertise, consultation, and direction to business units in support of the quality and safety plan.
Providing expertise and leadership in quality and safety, survey readiness, and serve as a project manager to ensure Outpatient Services' capacity to have a strong quality and safety plan.
Serve as the lead for implementation and coordination of the Outpatient Services Quality Program, acting as the primary liaison between the Outpatient Services Quality and Safety Team and service line leadership to ensure alignment, communication, and effective execution of quality and safety initiatives.
Implementing best practices about workplace quality and safety.
Directing activities to monitor, audit, analyze, and report program performance against established standards and support the service line as it selects, utilizes, and implements various improvement techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of risk management, quality, safety and/or compliance experience in a healthcare setting. Experience must include:
Ensuring compliance with accrediting and licensing agencies such as Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Department of Health, Department of Human Services, or Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
Providing lead direction to teams, projects and/or process improvement initiatives.
Reading, interpreting, and understanding federal and state quality and safety requirements, statutes, rules, regulations related to quality and safety in healthcare settings.
Collaborating with internal and/or external stakeholders to build and maintain effective work relationships and achieve shared objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in a clinical, healthcare and/or safety related field.
Knowledge of theories and practices of planning, evaluation, policy analysis, public administration, and program development.
Experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
Clinical licensure (ex. nursing, dental, allied health professional).
Quality, safety, process/performance improvement, risk, compliance and/or project management related certifications.
Experience working with dental and other outpatient healthcare services.
Experience working in a healthcare setting where psychiatry and/or behavioral health services are provided.
