Job Description
The Production Associate supports food manufacturing operations by preparing ingredients, assembling and packaging products, handling materials, and maintaining quality and food safety standards. This role operates in a fast-paced production environment and follows strict GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and food safety guidelines while working on a first shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Mix, prepare, cut, and portion ingredients according to production requirements and recipes.
Assemble, wrap, cook, and package food products to meet quality and safety standards.
Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner.
Load and unload shipments, ensuring materials are handled carefully and correctly.
Supply production lines with necessary materials to maintain continuous workflow.
Store raw materials and finished goods in accordance with food safety and GMP guidelines.
Complete production documentation, checklists, and records accurately and on time.
Dispose of waste and recyclables in designated areas while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Follow GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and all food safety requirements at all times.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety procedures.
Lift and transport materials, product trays, and equipment as needed throughout the shift.
Work comfortably around chicken, beef, and pork products in a food manufacturing setting.
Essential Skills
Ability to follow GMP guidelines, including wearing a smock, hair net, and required PPE, and refraining from jewelry or makeup in production areas.
Experience working closely with food in a production or food manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs continuously, 40 lbs frequently, and exert up to 50 lbs occasionally.
Ability to stand for long periods of time during the full shift.
Capability to perform general production, packing, and packaging tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of basic food safety practices and sanitizing procedures.
Ability to read and interpret safety and procedure documents in English.
Comfort working around chicken, beef, and pork in a food manufacturing facility.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and food safety programs.
Experience in food manufacturing or food production operations.
Ability to work on a first shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Spanish language skills are a plus for reading and interpreting documents and communicating on the floor.
Comfort working in a wet-floor environment with various food-related smells.
Ability to wear water-resistant shoes and full GMP PPE for the duration of the shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
