Job Title: 2nd Shift Warehouse Worker / Shipping Clerk Job Description
This role supports a busy automotive parts distribution facility by performing shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties on the 2nd shift. You will handle inventory, load and unload materials, pick and pack orders using RF scanners and rolling stairs, and assist supervisors to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Receive, restock, and organize inventory, including dispatch and overstock items.
Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
Break down boxes and package items securely for shipment.
Pick orders using rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to locate and retrieve automotive parts.
Utilize rolling safety ladders, typically 5-7 steps and occasionally up to 15 feet, to access materials stored at height.
Prepare and label packages for shipment according to company standards.
Assist warehouse supervisors with daily operational tasks and special projects as needed.
Perform general labor and warehouse housekeeping to maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Operate pallet jacks and other basic material-handling equipment as required.
Work productively in a fast-paced environment while meeting accuracy and productivity expectations.
Work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating self-motivation and reliability.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when using equipment, navigating stairs, and handling materials.
Essential Skills
Experience performing general labor and warehouse duties such as picking, packing, loading, and unloading.
Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory management.
Comfort working on rolling safety ladders and stairs, including ladders with 5-7 steps and occasionally up to 15 feet.
Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms for extended periods.
Ability to occasionally climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, or squat as required by warehouse tasks.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong self-motivation.
Basic communication skills to speak, read, and write in English for following instructions, labels, and safety information.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with order picking in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with pallet jacks and basic material-handling equipment.
Background in automotive parts distribution or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
Willingness to work mandatory overtime of up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.
Interest in learning forklift operation, with training available upon conversion to direct employment.

Work Environment
This position is on the 2nd shift, working 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime of up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays. The warehouse is a high-activity environment with loud noise levels due to forklifts and other machinery operating throughout the facility. Work involves frequent use of rolling stairs and RF scanners to access and manage inventory. The role is physically demanding, requiring extended periods of standing, walking, and manual material handling. The dress code includes plain shirts with no logos for alcohol or similar products, jeans without holes, and closed-toe shoes to maintain safety and professionalism.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
