Overview

**This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date. May required on-site visits based on department needs.

Schedule:** Days will vary based on department needs, Day Shift.

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The primary role of the Clinical Athletic Trainer (ATC) is to assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician and/or Sports Medicine Program manager by performing the essential functions of the job. The position will collaborate with multi-disciplinary team and provide direct assistance to other medical providers such as physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, medical assistants, and registered nurses in providing care for our patients at CHLA.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:

6+ Months of ATC experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience working in the physician practice setting.

Preferred:

Experience working as an Athletic Trainer with children, adolescents and young adults.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Athletic Training from a CAATE accredited program.

Must be Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).

American Heart Association BLS Certification.

NPI Number.

Preferred:

Completion of Athletic Training Residency Program.

BSC-O Certification.

Certified Orthopedic Technologist.

Pay Scale Information

$40.00-$40.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
