Warehouse Worker- Now hiring 1st shift warehouse worker
Job Description
Work order processing activities in a warehouse environment with a focus on accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for identifying, retrieving, measuring, cutting, spooling, and packing wire rope products to meet customer specifications, while maintaining a strong working knowledge of wire rope and related hardware. The Material Processor also supports inventory control, equipment calibration, and preventative maintenance to ensure efficient and reliable warehouse operations.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, organized, and debris-free work area to support safe and efficient warehouse operations.
Review daily work orders and distinguish full-pull orders from cut-to-length orders to plan processing activities.
Stage products and parts in accordance with work order requirements to ensure smooth workflow.
Measure and cut wire rope accurately to meet customer specifications and order details.
Perform wire rope spooling operations on a wide variety of wire rope products using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Inspect processed wire rope to verify accuracy and conformity with order requirements before shipment.
Weigh completed orders for shipment and accurately record shipping data, including reel or lot numbers, for traceability.
Verify that all work orders adhere to ISO-9001 quality standards and internal quality requirements.
Follow established work rules, operating instructions, and company procedures related to quality, safety, and general warehouse operations.
Perform physical inventory activities and assist with stock and warehouse organization as needed.
Support calibration of equipment and perform preventative maintenance checks to ensure tools and machinery remain in proper working condition.
Carry out other related warehouse and material processing functions as directed by leadership.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated experience with order processing in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Ability to perform inventory-related tasks, including staging, stock organization, and basic physical inventory activities.
Capability to accurately measure and cut materials, specifically wire rope, to precise customer specifications.
Skill in operating wire rope spooling equipment and handling a variety of wire rope products safely and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail for inspecting processed materials and verifying accuracy against work orders.
Ability to follow detailed operating instructions, work rules, and safety procedures consistently.
Basic data recording skills for documenting shipping information and traceability details such as reel or lot numbers.
Commitment to meeting ISO-9001 quality standards and internal quality expectations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment with material handling responsibilities.
Familiarity with wire rope products and associated hardware used in industrial or construction applications.
Comfort with performing preventative maintenance checks and supporting equipment calibration under guidance.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet daily production and shipping goals.
Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and efficient work area and support overall warehouse organization.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
