Join Our Team as an Electrical Technician
Are you an experienced electrical professional with a passion for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement? We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to support manufacturing operations across a diverse range of products, including emergency response vehicles, motorhome chassis, specialty vehicles, and Isuzu N-Gas platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex electrical issues, supporting production, collaborating with engineering teams, and helping drive quality and productivity improvements.
What You'll Do
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems and components
Perform electrical testing and functional verification of products
Install missing electrical components and complete rework as needed
Identify, document, and help resolve electrical defects
Lead electrical defect resolution activities and support major rework projects
Collaborate with Electrical Engineering to address manufacturing issues
Maintain electrical documentation for shop floor applications
Support manufacturing operations and OEM service requirements
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
Conduct self-inspections and verify quality of completed work
Utilize hand, power, cordless, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively
Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality standards
Participate in continuous improvement, productivity, and cost-saving initiatives
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Support 5S initiatives and workplace safety practices
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, purchasing, materials, sales, and customers to resolve issues
Solve complex technical problems with minimal supervision
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing electrical system support, preferably within automotive, vehicle manufacturing, or related industries
Experience using electrical schematics, diagnostic equipment, and computer-based troubleshooting tools
Basic computer proficiency
Knowledge of automotive wiring theory and electrical system applications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Excellent attendance and reliability
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay on task
Preferred Qualifications
Associate Technical Degree
Formal electrical systems or electronics training
Automotive or vehicle manufacturing experience
Cab electrical experience
Physical & Work Requirements
Ability to acquire and maintain personal tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks
Ability to work overtime with short notice when needed
Willingness to rotate through various assembly areas
Commitment to ongoing training and skill development
Ability to learn company systems and processes
Willingness to train and mentor coworkers as needed
