Job Title: Chocolate Manufacturing & Packaging Operator

Location: North Canton, OH

Position Type: Full-Time / Seasonal

Rate of Pay: $17.00 -- $20 / hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking detail-oriented and enthusiastic Chocolate Manufacturing & Packaging Operators to join our team in producing premium, high-quality gourmet chocolates. In this dual role, you will handle tasks across both confectionery production and final packaging, from operating manufacturing equipment to wrapping and boxing finished goods. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to strict food safety and high-quality presentation.

?Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing & Cooking Support: Assist with the preparation, mixing, and processing of premium chocolate ingredients according to exact recipes.

Line Operation: Set up, prepare, and operate specialized confectionery packaging machinery, including shrink wrappers, flow wrappers, twist wrappers, and box taping equipment.

Product Packaging: Hand-pack individual premium chocolates, bulk product bags, and gourmet confections neatly into boxes, ensuring strict case-fill standards are met.

Quality Control: Visually inspect finished chocolates for uniform appearance, correct labeling, and precise decoration to maintain brand standards.

Sanitation & Hygiene: Maintain a clean workstation and perform comprehensive line teardown and sanitization at the end of every shift. Adhere closely to Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Material Handling: Build, scale, tape, and palletize shipping boxes. Keep clear and accurate production logs as required.

Requirements & Physical Demands

Physical Ability: Must be able to stand and walk for the full duration of an 8 to 12-hour shift.

Strength: Ability to consistently lift, carry, and move up to 20 lbs of raw ingredients or finished product.

Dexterity: Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail required for handling delicate chocolates.

Compliance: Must pass all facility orientation requirements. 90-day probationary period is offered.

Schedule: Flexibility to work standard shifts and occasional weekends as production demands dictate.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Open for discussion.

Prior experience in light industrial work, assembly, warehouse environments, or food manufacturing not required.

Ability to learn, absorb and remember information for several areas.
