Job Summary and Qualifications

Full time (Monday - Friday, days), no nights, no on call, no weekends, no holidays

Seeking a Medical Office Specialist for our practice who provides clerical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. What you will do in this role:

You will manage all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones

You will manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information

You will assist with collecting and recording co-pays (cash and/or charge) including balancing the day in the computer

Collecting out of pocket costs (Co-Pays, Deductible, etc.)

Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors and patients.

Patient registration: assist patients with new patient forms and check accuracy.

Able to enter all demographics accurately and quickly.

Answer all phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.

Perform all duties within HIPAA regulations.

Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff and patient information.

Answering phones, schedule appointments, message taking, phone transfers, checking on referrals Medical Receptionist Requirements:

1 year of experience at a healthcare facility in a Medical Receptionist role (essential).

Working knowledge of medical terminology, and various health insurance plans

Innovative thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

Strong organizational, administrative and planning skills.

Ability to work under pressure and react effectively and professionally to high pace situations.

Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.

Excellent documentation, communication and IT/EMR skills.

Passionate about healthcare excellence.

What Qualifications you will need:

One year of experience in a medical office setting is highly preferred

Experience using an EHR system is highly preferred

Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus
