This position requires an employee to be onsite at 3200 Labore Rd, Ste 104, Vadnais Heights, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location.

Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking a Patient Financial Services Manager to provide managerial oversight of the front-end and back-end billing processes for all DCT programs and services. The Patient Financial Services Manager sets the strategic direction in their designated area of responsibility and continually evaluates processes and procedures through data analytics and other continuous improvement strategies.
Responsibilities include:
Provide oversight and direction to staff responsible for determining client eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, preparing patient/client billing statements, cash posting, accounts receivable follow-up and collections to ensure all revenue due to the state for services rendered by DCT is billed and collected appropriately.
Assure client financial statements are obtained and support financial billing records.
Manage the coordination of all patient accounting and receivables information required by the Minnesota Management & Budget, the Office of the Legislative Auditor and other regulatory agencies.
Manage compliance with federal requirements, state requirements and standard accounting principles
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Five (5) years of Revenue Cycle Management experience within healthcare business operations. At least two (2) years must be supervisory experience assigning priorities, managing and developing staff and implementing improvements. Experience must include:
Hands-on experience with medical billing, prior authorizations, cash posting, financial coding and/or accounts receivable.
Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding statutes, rules, and regulations.
Prepare and present financial data and reports in a professional, timely, and effective manner.
Analytical, organizational, and research skills to solve problems and initiate corrective actions.
Please note: A master's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 18 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience; a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 12 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience; an associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field substitutes for 6 months of Revenue Cycle Management experience.
AND
Demonstrated leadership experience may include any of the following:
Experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, OR project lead*
Completion of a State leadership development program, such as Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) or Senior Leadership Institute (SLI)
Completion of a similar or equivalent leadership development program through another organization
A paid or unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee, such as an Employee Resource Group (ERG). This experience must also include:
1+ years of identifying issues, goals, and strategic actions
100+ hours per year time commitment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Experience billing Psychiatric inpatient hospital claims to Medicare A, Medicaid and Commercial plans.
Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
