Job Description
This Electrical Engineer role focuses on designing and developing electrical systems for a variety of projects, including lighting and lighting control systems, low and medium voltage power distribution, and control systems for mechanical and refrigeration applications. You will contribute as a key member of multidisciplinary design teams, preparing detailed drawings and specifications while collaborating closely with other engineering disciplines and project managers. Responsibilities
Participate as an active member of design teams to develop electrical system solutions for diverse projects.
Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for lighting and lighting control systems.
Design low and medium voltage power distribution systems, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
Perform load calculations and other engineering analyses to size equipment and validate system performance.
Specify basic materials, methods, and equipment for electrical systems, including power distribution and lighting.
Develop control systems for mechanical and refrigeration systems in coordination with mechanical engineering teams.
Use AutoCAD and Revit to create, update, and maintain accurate electrical design documentation.
Coordinate electrical design requirements with other disciplines and project managers to ensure integrated project delivery.
Manage personal workload and priorities, working independently to complete assignments on schedule.
Contribute ideas and technical expertise as an intelligent, engaged team member, supporting both project goals and team development.
Support continuous improvement by learning new tools, methods, and codes, and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Participate in professional development activities, including internal training, lunch-and-learn sessions, and continuing education courses.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Architectural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering Technology (BSEE, BSEET, BSAE, or BSAET).
3 to 7 years of experience designing electrical systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for electrical design and drafting.
Hands-on experience with the design of power distribution systems, including low and medium voltage.
Experience with lighting and lighting control system design.
Ability to perform electrical load calculations and related engineering analyses.
Understanding of structured cabling and low-voltage systems.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrated strong work ethic and leadership capabilities.
Genuine interest in electrical engineering and building systems.
Ability to work as a self-starter, managing priorities and working independently to meet deadlines.
Desire and ability to learn continuously and share knowledge with others.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
experience in industrial markets such as food, beverage, or chemical facilities.
Experience working in a consulting engineering environment.
Familiarity with RCDD principles and structured cabling design.
Exposure to control systems for mechanical and refrigeration applications.
Interest in ongoing professional development through continuing education and training.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
