Job Description
This role involves working on new construction projects to install and commission low-voltage and electrical systems for new store builds. You will install and test cabling, power distribution, lighting, controls, and a variety of store equipment, ensuring all systems operate safely and reliably before store turnover. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, confidence using power and hand tools, and the ability to read measurements accurately down to 1/16".
Responsibilities
Install electrical systems for new store builds, including branch circuits, lighting, panels, and equipment connections.
Install and commission kitchen appliances such as ovens, fryers, microwaves, and other food-service equipment requiring electrical or low-voltage connections.
Install beverage dispensers and ensure all electrical and low-voltage connections are properly configured and tested.
Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling for POS systems, security cameras, access control, networking, and communication systems.
Install and commission lighting controls, occupancy sensors, and store-specific automation components.
Interpret electrical drawings and low-voltage schematics to ensure accurate routing, placement, and installation of systems and equipment.
Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and verification of electrical and low-voltage systems prior to store turnover.
Use construction methods to install conduit, wiring, ducting, and related components in a safe and code-compliant manner.
Perform retrofit and repair work on electrical and low-voltage systems as needed during construction and commissioning.
Coordinate work on-site with other trades such as HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and carpentry to support integrated store systems.
Essential Skills
Proven experience installing electrical systems in a construction environment, including branch circuits, lighting, panels, and equipment connections.
Hands-on experience running, terminating, and testing low-voltage cabling for POS systems, security cameras, access control, networking, and communication systems.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and low-voltage schematics accurately for routing and placement.
Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately down to 1/16".
Experience with conduit installation, wiring, duct installation, and general electrical construction practices.
Experience in construction, industrial installation, and retrofit work related to electrical and low-voltage systems.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly between job sites.

Work Environment
This position operates primarily on 1st shift, with start times that can be as early as 6:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with some Fridays as needed. You will typically work 45-50 hours per week in a new construction environment focused on building and outfitting new stores. The role involves frequent travel from home to job sites across Ohio and Michigan. Travel over one hour may require overnight stays, with hotel costs covered and a per diem provided. You will work on active construction sites using power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment, and you will collaborate closely with other trades in a field-based setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
