Job Description
This role involves performing a wide range of warehouse operations, including pulling and preparing orders for shipment, unloading trucks, organizing and storing inventory, and supporting customers with will-call orders. You will use computers and RF scanners to manage sales orders and inventory, and operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. This position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment with clear pathways into delivery, sales, operations, and other career tracks.
Responsibilities
Pull and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for shipment.
Unload trucks safely and organize incoming products in the warehouse.
Put away inventory in designated locations and maintain accurate stock organization.
Assist with will-call orders by locating, pulling, and staging products for customer pickup.
Use computers and RF guns to process sales orders, perform data entry, and track inventory levels.
Operate pallet jacks and forklifts to move, load, and unload materials as needed.
Perform periodic cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and support inventory control processes.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse through regular cleanup and general maintenance tasks.
Provide customer service support by interacting professionally with customers and coworkers.
Support warehouse inventory management, including labeling, stocking, and rotating products.
Follow all safety procedures when handling products, operating equipment, and working in the warehouse.
Collaborate with a small team to meet daily operational goals and support branch performance.
Essential Skills
Ability to perform general labor tasks, including loading and unloading trucks.
Customer service skills with an outgoing and social approach to working with others.
Strong motivation, drive, and a clear desire for growth into sales or operations roles.
Math and reading comprehension skills to accurately follow orders and documentation.
Comfort using computers for data entry and basic system navigation.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 30 lbs regularly, with frequent use of pallet jacks and forklifts to assist with lifting.
Interest in learning new skills in areas such as sales and operations.
Valid driving ability for operating box trucks may be required, depending on duties.
Willingness to operate and learn to use forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience is a plus.
Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
Experience with warehouse inventory processes is beneficial.
Exposure to driving box trucks or delivery vehicles is an advantage.
Interest or experience in sales, including counter sales or inside/outside sales, is helpful.
Education from a community college or university is preferred but not required.
Ability to work effectively in a small team environment and communicate clearly.
A strong desire for career growth into roles such as delivery driving, counter sales, inside/outside sales, purchasing, project management, or quotations.

Work Environment
You will work in a warehouse that distributes electrical products in bulk to electrical contractors, OEM and MRO markets, and government customers. The product mix includes commercial and industrial lighting, lamps, bulbs, fasteners, conduits, connectors, heating products, fans, HVAC components, ducts, and related materials. The environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with frequent use of computers, RF guns, pallet jacks, and forklifts to manage and move inventory. You will be part of a small team of approximately 4-7 colleagues, fostering close collaboration and strong working relationships. The role is primarily warehouse-based, with a focus on safe material handling, accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining an organized facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
