Job Title: Aircraft Repair Technician (A&P Mechanic)

Job Description

This role focuses on performing complex maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on aircraft, engines, avionics systems, structural components, and landing gear in a Part 145 repair station environment. You will ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and manufacturer standards while serving as a technical leader on the shop floor, providing guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics.

Responsibilities

Perform complex maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on aircraft, engines, avionics components, structural components, and landing gear in accordance with FAA and manufacturer standards.

Carry out both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, including annual inspections, ensuring aircraft are safe, airworthy, and compliant.

Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems and components as required.

Perform corrosion inspections and repairs on aircraft structures and components.

Ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with Part 145 repair station requirements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics, including oversight of maintenance procedures and best practices.

Essential Skills

Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.

6+ years of MRO/Part 145 maintenance experience as an A&P mechanic.

Proven experience in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, including annual inspections.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, structural, and avionics systems.

Demonstrated ability and desire to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics.

Experience overseeing maintenance procedures and best practices in a repair station environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a multi-hangar Part 145 maintenance environment featuring eight open-bay hangars equipped with large air fans (BAFs) for comfort and airflow. Standard work hours follow a Monday-Friday schedule, with typical shifts of either 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The culture emphasizes strong teamwork and professionalism, where collaborative, team-oriented professionals thrive. You will work hands-on with aircraft in an open bay setting, following established safety procedures and maintaining a professional appearance appropriate for an active maintenance hangar.

This is a Contract position based out of Deerfield Beach, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
