CDL Class B Automatic Dump Truck Driver
Pay: $25-$28/hr

Job Description
Drive and operate automatic transmission dump trucks to support large site development and grading projects for residential subdivision construction. Pick up and drop off the assigned dump truck at the shop each day, transporting materials safely and efficiently to and from active job sites.
Responsibilities
Operate an automatic transmission CDL Class B dump truck to support large site development and grading projects.
Transport soil, aggregate, and other construction materials to and from residential subdivision job sites.
Pick up the dump truck from the shop at the start of each workday and return it to the shop at the end of the day.
Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials to grading crews and construction teams.
Perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the dump truck to identify and report any mechanical issues.
Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving and operating the truck.
Coordinate with grading crews and site personnel to load and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain a clean and orderly truck bed and cab to support safe operation and professional presentation on job sites.
Operate within active residential subdivision construction environments, remaining aware of equipment, workers, and site conditions.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members regarding job site locations, material needs, and any delays or issues.
Essential Skills
Valid CDL Class B license.
Ability to safely operate automatic transmission dump trucks.
Experience driving dump trucks in construction or civil construction environments (preferred, training available for less experienced drivers).
Strong truck driving skills with attention to safety and compliance.
Ability to work in residential subdivision construction settings and navigate active job sites.
Reliability in picking up and dropping off the truck at the shop daily.
Basic understanding of civil construction and large site development workflows.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in civil construction or large site development projects.
Experience transporting materials for grading crews and construction teams.
Comfort working alongside multiple grading crews and equipment operators.
Willingness to learn and receive training on dump truck operation if limited experience.
Ability to communicate clearly with crew leaders and site personnel.

Work Environment

The role is field-based, requiring daily travel between the shop and active job sites, with work performed outdoors around heavy machinery and ongoing construction activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
