Description

Our client, a successful family law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is suited to someone who can manage competing priorities, maintain precise documentation, and provide dependable support to attorneys handling active matters. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in a law firm setting, understands litigation workflows, and is comfortable working in a focused, deadline-driven environment.

Location: Boston, MA

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience) + great benefits

Schedule: In-Office M-F

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of a case

Prepare, revise, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents

Electronically file documents in Massachusetts state courts

Maintain attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and court appearances

Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files

Track litigation deadlines and assist with docket management

Prepare exhibits, binders, and supporting materials for hearings and trials

Assist with general office and administrative responsibilities as needed to support the legal team

Requirements

Requirements:

1 or more years of experience as a Legal Assistant/Paralegal in litigation (family law experience is not required)

Experience with electronic court filing (e-filing) is required

Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff

High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
