Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our team for a long-term contract opportunity. This on-site role is well suited for an early-career accounting candidate or entry-level applicant who is eager to build practical experience in a supportive setting. You will contribute to day-to-day financial operations while working closely with experienced leadership that values training and development.

Responsibilities:

Maintain organized financial records by entering and updating accounting information with a high level of accuracy.

Support daily payment cycles by reviewing, recording, and processing vendor invoices and customer transactions.

Reconcile bank activity and internal account balances to help ensure complete and accurate reporting.

Prepare spreadsheets, summaries, and routine reports using Excel and QuickBooks.

Provide general accounting assistance across clerical and bookkeeping functions as business needs change.

Verify supporting documentation and follow up on missing or inconsistent financial details.

Assist with additional administrative or accounting-related tasks to help manage ongoing workload demands. Requirements

Experience with data entry and invoice handling in a detail-focused or academic setting.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for organizing and reviewing financial information.

Exposure to QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately.

Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow in an entry-level accounting environment.
