General Maintenance Worker

Pay: $19.50 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Work with a purpose! Management and Training Corporation (MTC) provides a safe and secure working environment for our staff at the Bluebonnet Detention Center in Anson, TX, while helping detainees gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.

What youll do: Youll be responsible for duties involving general maintenance and repairs on equipment and buildings, assisting with technical trades such as plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry in compliance with Management and Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

Essential Functions:

Perform maintenance and repair of structures, electrical systems, heating, plumbing, ventilating, air conditioning and drainage systems. Recommend contracted assistance when on-site repair is not possible.

Repair or replace faulty or damaged light fixtures, outlets and fuses as directed.

Perform minor construction and repair of structural woodwork.

Install window shades or coverings, security locks, etc.

Perform repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures, washers, seals, etc.

Help prepare surfaces for finishing, i.e.,
