Job Summary:

The Assembler will assemble manufactured products and pack according to specifications.

Essential Functions:

Assembles machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions.

Reads blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications.

Uses various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.

Maintains logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.

Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed.

Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.

Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and alerts supervisor.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.

Detail-oriented and consistent.

Works well as a productive member of a team.

Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.

Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain an overhead crane permit as part of job requirements.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Background Prerequisites:

Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time during the work shift.

Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms for grasping, handling, reaching, and assembling components.

Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or parts up to 50 pounds (assistance or mechanical aids provided for heavier loads).

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb as job duties require.

Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle small and large components with precision.

Capability to operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
