HIRING CONTACT: Aysha Donaho, 254-203-4021, Email Address: alysha.donaho@tpwd.texas.govPHYSICAL WORK ADDRESS: Fort Parker State Park,194 Park Road 28, Mexia, TX 76667 GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Assistant Park Superintendent and Lead Maintenance Specialist, this position performs complex (journey-level) building maintenance and construction work including all phases of maintenance and repair to facilities, buildings, equipment, and grounds at Fort Parker State Park. Duties may include but are not limited to: cabin, restroom, and grounds cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep. Assists other staff with completion of functions and park maintenance necessary to meet public expectations and all park visitors' needs. Follows purchasing procedures for supplies, tools, equipment, etc. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Graduation from High School or GED.Experience:Three years of facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance experience.Licensure:Must possess a valid State Driver's License at the time of hire. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS:Experience:Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience in facility, equipment, or grounds maintenance, with a maximum substitution of two years. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: Three years of experience in electrical, carpentry, or plumbing repairs to buildings, facilities, and grounds.Experience in basic vehicle and/or small engine repair.Experience working with the public.
