Job Title: Warehouse Material Handler Job Description
This role focuses on receiving, organizing, and moving materials within a warehouse and production environment. You will handle shipping and receiving activities, operate a forklift and scales, and support production lines by stocking materials and maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work area. The position requires someone who works independently with minimal supervision and follows written and verbal instructions accurately.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and condition against documentation.
Prepare, package, and label items accurately for shipping.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
Assist the Warehouse Lead Receiver by stocking materials on the production lines in a timely manner.
Perform regular inventory counting, organization, and material rotation to ensure efficient stock management.
Operate a forklift safely to move, load, and unload materials as needed.
Operate scales to weigh materials and record measurements accurately.
Help keep trash bins empty and ensure waste is disposed of properly in designated areas.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe warehouse and production support area.
Secure materials and the facility as directed, ensuring items are stored safely and access is controlled.
Read and follow written and oral instructions provided by the department lead and other supervisors.
Work independently with little or no supervision while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
Perform general labor tasks related to material handling, loading, picking, and packaging as assigned.
Essential Skills
Proven ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
Experience in shipping and receiving, including loading, unloading, and verifying materials.
Hands-on experience with material handling, including moving, stacking, and organizing inventory.
Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks with attention to detail.
Experience with order picking and inventory organization in a warehouse environment.
Capability to read and follow written and oral instructions accurately.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Comfort working in an industrial warehouse or manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, fumes, dirt, and noise.
Physical ability to perform general labor tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a material handler, warehouse worker, or similar role.
Experience supporting production lines by stocking materials and removing waste.
Familiarity with using scales to weigh materials and record measurements.
Strong organizational skills for inventory counting and stock management.
Reliability and consistency in maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, including general labor, picking, packaging, and loading.

Work Environment
You will work in a modular building manufacturing facility within a covered industrial warehouse environment. The building does not have air conditioning or heat, so temperatures may reflect seasonal conditions. The role involves frequent exposure to dust, fumes, dirt, and noise, and requires comfort working in somewhat disagreeable conditions at times. You will spend most of your time on your feet, moving materials, stocking production lines, and handling general labor tasks in a busy, fast-paced setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aumsville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr.
