Description We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support billing, payment posting, and commercial collections for a plastics manufacturing organization in Forest Park, Illinois. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with at least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable who can manage cash activity accurately and maintain strong follow-up with customers. The role will contribute to timely account reconciliation, payment processing, and reporting while working with financial systems and tools such as Infor and Power BI.

Responsibilities: - Process customer invoices, apply incoming payments, and maintain accurate accounts receivable records. - Follow up with commercial clients regarding outstanding balances and drive timely collection of open invoices. - Post cash receipts from multiple payment channels, including wire transfers and credit card transactions. - Review account activity, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile payment details to resolve billing issues. - Support daily cash application activities to ensure customer payments are matched correctly and efficiently. - Coordinate with internal teams to address account questions, payment exceptions, and collection-related concerns. - Maintain organized documentation of payment activity, collection efforts, and account status updates. - Use Infor and reporting tools such as Power BI to monitor receivable trends and support financial visibility.

Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or commercial collections. - Working knowledge of cash application processes and customer payment posting. - Experience handling collections for business accounts with attention to detail and consistency. - Familiarity with wire transfer processing and credit card payment reconciliation. - Ability to investigate account discrepancies and resolve payment-related issues accurately. - Experience using ERP or accounting systems, including exposure to Infor. - Basic reporting or data review experience with tools such as Power BI is preferred. - Strong attention to detail, organization, and written and verbal communication skills.
