DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position leads the Staff Development Department and directs education for nursing and other clinical staff across the hospital. It ensures strong training programs that meet hospital goals and healthcare standards. As a Registered Nurse Instructor Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
Training Leadership: Direct training programs for many clinical roles and ensure content stays current with health care standards
Orientation Oversight: Coordinate and deliver orientation for new employees, students, and contract providers
Technical Guidance: Provide assistance to clinical departments by helping identify training needs and developing targeted educational programs
Program Management: Plan and conduct Basic Life Support (BLS) training and manage staff development schedules and policies
Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate training records to meet DHS and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements and support accreditation needs
E lectronic Health Record Support: Train staff on electronic health record use and troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with key hospital departments

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work schedule may change based on operational needs.
Overtime: As needed
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years as a Registered Nurse Instructor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
Three years of professional nursing experience which included one year in Nurse Instruction and a master's degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Special Requirements:
This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement (https://www.employment.pa.gov/Additional%20Info/Pages/default.aspx) is currentlywaivedfor this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
