Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
This role supports a high-volume distribution center in Cheyenne, Wyoming that supplies merchandise to dozens of retail stores. Warehouse Workers play a key part in the flow of goods by unloading incoming trailers, preparing products for storage, and loading outbound trailers for shipment. You will work in either Shipping or Receiving and handle a wide variety of large and heavy merchandise, ensuring it is processed efficiently, safely, and without damage in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities
Work in Shipping or Receiving to load and unload trailers by hand, handling merchandise that may or may not arrive on pallets.
Hand stack merchandise onto pallets inside trailers so it can be safely stored and transported within the warehouse.
Unload trailers and transport, select, stock, and load heavy and large merchandise onto outbound trailers for shipment to retail stores.
Use basic material handling tools and equipment, such as pallet jacks and RF scanners, as directed for daily warehouse operations.
Observe incoming and outgoing merchandise for manufacturer defects and damage, and follow procedures to report or address issues.
Handle merchandise carefully during all processing steps to prevent damage while maintaining productivity standards.
Follow established safety guidelines and warehouse procedures while working in a large, loud, and busy distribution environment.
Maintain punctuality and strong attendance, consistently arriving on time and ready to work for all scheduled shifts and overtime.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn new tasks, adapt to different areas of the warehouse, and take direction from supervisors and team leads.
Support general labor tasks in the warehouse as needed, including organizing product, keeping work areas clean, and assisting teammates.
Participate in facility tours and any required onboarding activities, following security and compliance requirements.
Adhere to all company policies, including those related to background checks and drug testing, as part of ongoing employment.
Essential Skills
Ability to regularly lift up to 70 lbs, including lifting merchandise overhead when loading trucks.
Comfort working in a very large, loud, and busy warehouse environment with high levels of activity.
Stable work history that demonstrates reliability and commitment, especially for candidates without prior warehouse experience.
Strong punctuality and attendance, with the ability to meet mandatory overtime requirements when scheduled.
Willingness to learn new tasks and processes and to accept feedback in a fast-paced operational setting.
Capability to perform physically demanding general labor and material handling tasks for extended periods.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations such as loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous experience as a Warehouse Worker or in a similar distribution or logistics role.
Experience with loading and unloading trailers in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
Familiarity with RF scanners for tracking and selecting merchandise.
Experience operating pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment.
Exposure to forklift operation in a warehouse setting, even if not the primary duty.
Ability to perform general labor tasks such as organizing inventory, cleaning work areas, and assisting with various warehouse functions.
Spanish language skills are welcome for day and weekend shifts.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a very large, loud, and busy distribution center that supports numerous retail locations, with constant trailer activity and high volumes of merchandise moving through Shipping and Receiving. Warehouse Workers spend most of their time on their feet performing physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 70 lbs, stacking product on pallets, and loading and unloading trailers, including overhead loading. The environment is fast-paced and can feel intense, especially for those new to warehouse work, so comfort with noise, motion, and heavy equipment is important. Common tools and technologies include RF scanners, pallet jacks, and standard material handling equipment, with potential exposure to forklifts and other warehouse machinery. Shifts are structured and currently include mandatory overtime: the day shift runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., often extended to about 6:30 p.m; the night shift runs Tuesday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m with an additional day such as Monday or Friday; and the weekend shift runs Friday through Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m with an extra day such as Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Workers receive one unpaid 30-minute break and two paid 15-minute breaks per shift. The facility uses standard warehouse safety practices, and attire typically includes practical, comfortable clothing suitable for manual labor and closed-toe shoes appropriate for an industrial environment. Candidates participate in on-site tours, which provide a firsthand look at the conditions and expectations before starting work.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $21.75/hr.
