Salary Range: $22.13 To $30.00 Hourly

Purpose of Position:

Responsible for processing IRS, CA / DC and NYS Tax Compliance levies, levies from other government agencies, information subpoenas, subpoenas with restraining notices and subpoenas from attorneys pertaining to corporate and consumer accounts for all branches. Also responsible for investigating and processing decedent account inquires as well as guardianships for all branches. Manage the remittance for NY IOLA and DC and CA IOLTA program.

Essential Job Functions:

Review and comply with all IRS levies, as well as levies received from other states adhering to the timeframes established by the Federal and State regulations

Read, interpret and process information subpoenas with restraining notices from attorneys following the Federal and State exemptions rules as required

Interface with internal clients i.e. Channels / departmental units / customers and attorneys responding to inquiries received from the various entities with regard to legal matters

Oversee a caseload and manage all due dates for that caseload

Verify and respond timely to investigations received from the Department of Labor and Human Resources Administration / Social Security and Medicaid pertaining to applicants applying for aid

Authenticate client's signature on audit requests received via Confirmation.com as well as those requests received via United States Postal services. Research and process requests accordingly. Defer exceptions to Account Executive. Process affidavits of forged endorsements on a collection basis to the depositing banks on behalf of our corporate clients in an attempt to secure the funds by requesting reimbursement and follow up until a resolution is received

Index and capture documentation received on subpoenas / levies / decedent investigations for archival purposes utilizing WebXtender

Respond and prepare correspondence based on inquires / requests received in a timely manner for all branches

Manage the closing of guardian ship and decedent accounts by restricting, maintaining and corresponding with beneficiaries, law firms, guardians etc. until the account or estate is settled

Post transactions to the decedent accounts and issue checks accordingly

Prepare monthly remittance reports for Interest on Lawyers Accounts (IOLA) and DC and CA Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts (IOLTA) and forward to the Fund

Debit IOLA accounts and send funds via wire transfer to fund

Debit IOLTA accounts and issue a check to the DC and CA Bar Foundation

Prepare end of day proofs for entries processed for manager's approval

Create PDFs of daily workflow and save to the Department's drive

Manage the processing of forged endorsements and counterfeits by communicating with the bank of first deposit for all corporate and consumer customers

Assist with customer statement and check retrieval

Assist with the removal of dormancy on dormant accounts

Perform various administrative duties within the department as directed by management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate well with associates, law enforcement officials and internal/external attorneys

Knowledge of legal matters related to customer accounts preferred

Strong PC skills and analytical ability. Proficient in MS Office, Excel and Outlook

Must be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks and organize workflow while meeting deadlines

Previous retail banking, operational or analytical experience preferred

Experience with legal documents helpful

Ability to multi-task

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting hourly salary for this role is between $22.13 - $30.00. The actual hourly pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Work Model

Effective February 18, 2025, employees in office-based positions will be working a Hybrid work schedule consisting of three days or more, on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, the contact center, branch service roles, and general services where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely.
