Work Environment
This position is based at a commercial airport where the employer serves as the primary provider of line service for a wide range of airlines. The operation is highly seasonal, with a slower period from June through September and a busy period from October through May. New hires begin on a Monday-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for approximately 4-6 weeks of training before transitioning to their assigned shift. During the slow season, the typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. In the busy season, technicians may move to a day shift from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with Sunday and Monday off, and on days with multiple technicians on duty, shifts may run from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Schedules and dates can change based on operational needs, so flexibility for shift adjustments, overtime, and weekend work is essential.
