DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position oversees clerical operations, facility functions, and administrative procedures to support the daily needs of the district office. The role requires strong coordination, clear communication, and careful monitoring of office activities. As an Administrative Officer 1, you will perform the following duties:

Clerical Oversight: Supervise clerical supervisors and monitor workload to ensure efficient operations

Staff Coordination: Evaluate staffing needs, organize assignments, and review work progress across units

Procedure Management: Develop, audit, and update administrative procedures to support accurate and effective workflow

Resource Control: Monitor special funds, emergency benefits, petty cash, postage, and travel reimbursements for accountability

Facility Administration: Manage building contracts for office equipment, floor layout plans, maintenance needs, security provisions, and supply availability

Safety Leadership: Coordinate district safety programs, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with regulations

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Delaware County. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
