As a Security Officer Licensed Armed Patrol in Salem, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and the public while responding to concerns with integrity and sound judgment. Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Mon08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Tue08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Wed08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Thur08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

Fri08:30 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government transportation facilities.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, road-related assets, and facility perimeters to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.

Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner.

Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, property damage, and/or operational hazards.

Maintain required armed officer qualifications, carry assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, and prepare accurate incident and patrol reports.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed Guard Card and/or license.

Be at least 21 years of age.

CPR certification is preferred.

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
