Support Critical Utility Projects Behind the Scenes Administrative Technician!

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr | Start: ASAP | Location: Tolleson, AZ (work is onsite 100% at the start) | Contract Length: 12 months to start, likely to extend

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Administrative Technician to provide administrative support to Design Consultants and Project Leaders within a fast-paced utility design environment.

In this role, you'll help track project progress, manage documentation, coordinate follow-ups with customers and internal teams, and ensure critical project information is accurately maintained. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a detail-oriented environment and enjoys supporting multiple stakeholders to keep projects moving forward.

What You'll Do

Administrative & Project Support

Provide administrative support to department personnel

Support Design Consultants and Project Leaders with non-technical tasks

Organize, maintain, and update project records and documentation

Assist with daily operational and project-related activities

Tracking & Reporting

Track project and job progression through various stages

Input and maintain information within tracking software systems

Run reports, analyze information, and distribute results to team members

Monitor outstanding tasks and ensure timely follow-up

Customer & Team Coordination

Follow up with customers, designers, and internal stakeholders regarding outstanding items

Communicate project updates and information requests

Assist in maintaining strong customer service and stakeholder relationships

Documentation Management

Prepare job release packages for inspection and construction teams

Review customer-submitted plans and documentation for completeness

Verify that required information has been provided before processing

Ensure records are accurate, organized, and readily accessible

Process Support

Review and communicate report findings to department personnel

Support workflow efficiency and project progression

Assist with department initiatives and special projects as needed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related administrative, project support, or coordinator experience

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience entering and maintaining data in tracking systems or databases

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting utility, construction, engineering, or project-based teams

Experience preparing reports and tracking project milestones

Customer service or stakeholder coordination experience

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
