Summary This position is in the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Louisville Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office (RO), Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) division; and serves as a Program Support Specialist responsible for administrative and technical work. Responsibilities Specific duties include: Program Specialist supports Veteran Readiness & Employment staff assigned to supervise and assist participants of Chapter 31 and Chapter 36. Title 38, U.S. Code. Assistance is required in all phases of the Veteran Readiness program. Primarily responsible for the preparation of the awards required to pay the Veterans subsistence while participating in the program. Responsible for resolution of issues regarding VR&E eligibilty and entitlement. Responsible for coordination of new applicants to the VR&E programs, and facilitation of group orientation sessions. Responsible for inquiries and assistance with financial oversight of the successful administration of the VR&E program for participants.
