The Manufacturing Engineer provides comprehensive support for all manufacturing systems and products, with a strong focus on process development, continuous improvement, and production support in an electrical production environment. This role develops and maintains manufacturing documentation, supports assembly fixtures and test equipment, and ensures that production processes consistently meet quality, cost, and delivery goals. The Manufacturing Engineer collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to improve throughput, first-time yield, and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Provide manufacturing support aligned with organizational values and production management goals to ensure on-time delivery, operational efficiency, continuous improvement, clear communication, and effective employee training.
Support manufacturing engineering activities focused on continuous improvement, problem solving, root-cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in operations aimed at cost reduction, increased reliability, and improved process capability.
Coordinate and provide technical information and support to all relevant departments as needed or requested.
Collaborate with engineering and supporting functions to improve product throughput and first-time yield performance, providing regular feedback on process performance.
Support new product introductions by developing and refining manufacturing processes, documentation, and production readiness activities.
Create, update, and maintain all manufacturing documentation required to properly manufacture products, including method sheets and related process documents.
Maintain and update all method sheet documentation used by production and support the Process Change Orders process to track and control document changes.
Maintain data collection charts that monitor the health of production systems and processes, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
Collect, catalog, and display production and process data on a timely basis to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Establish bills of materials, routings, and specifications to baseline and control design and manufacturing processes.
Prepare estimates of manufacturing costs and support the review and approval of these estimates.
Ensure that manufacturing processes maintain the highest standards of quality as products are produced on a daily basis.
Provide electronic expertise for all test equipment used in production, ensuring equipment supports reliable and repeatable testing.
Assist in the implementation, modification, and maintenance of test equipment to support evolving product and process requirements.
Support activities that document support processes, fixtures, and test procedures to ensure consistency and traceability in manufacturing.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support manufacturing engineering and production operations.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of experience in process development within an electrical production environment.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Demonstrated experience working in the electrical industry.
Strong mechanical skills and an aptitude for both production and product development.
Proven ability to create, maintain, and manage detailed manufacturing documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.
Demonstrated ability to use graphics packages or AutoCAD for engineering and documentation tasks.
Strong intuitive understanding of methods and processes required for assembly of electronic components and modules.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to use internet-based applications and tools for engineering and documentation tasks.
Professional written and spoken fluency in English.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, process improvement, or manufacturing process development.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies in a production environment.
Comfort working with test equipment in an electronics manufacturing @context.
No formal certifications required, but relevant industry training or coursework is beneficial.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting production data and driving process improvements.
Work Environment
This is a full-time role, generally scheduled Monday through Friday, with the possibility of being on-call on some weekends if required. The position is based in an electrical production environment that involves close interaction with manufacturing lines, assembly areas, and test equipment. The role requires frequent use of computers, Microsoft Office applications, internet tools, and engineering software such as graphics packages or AutoCAD. The Manufacturing Engineer works closely with production, engineering, and other operational teams in a collaborative setting focused on quality, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement. Dress code typically aligns with a professional manufacturing environment, including appropriate attire for working around production equipment and adherence to any applicable safety or facility guidelines.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
