Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 yr DOE

Responsibilities

Analyze composites - Physical and chemical

Operation of analytical equipment such as HPLC, FTIR

Managing the calibration of glass wares and the instruments and maintenance, cleaning and checking of equipment

Familiarity/Operation of instruments such as ICP/OES, Leco, pH, XRF, MFR, FTIR, DSC, TGA, TMA, DMA, GC/MS, hardness meters, analytical balances, etc.

Coordinating with the other technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule

Manage verification and calibration of instruments.

This is a fast-paced environment, and we need someone who is proactive, self-motivated and a team player. The person for this role will be a specialist in their field, respected by all who they work with, keen to learn and enthusiastic in the face of challenge. You will need :

Associates degree or higher in Chemistry or equivalent, and/or at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Ability to work in teams under pressure and flexible to work different working overtime hours, if required or necessary.

Excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills and listening ability to communicate effectively with peers, superiors, customers and vendors.

Knowledge and experience of safe operation of testing equipment and operating in an independent / chemistry / consultant laboratory.

U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required.
