Summary About the Position: This position is for an Assistant Operations Project Manager with USACE, Southwestern Division, Operations Division, Three Rivers Regional Office located in Clifton, TX. Responsibilities As the Assistant Operations Project Manager, share fully in the provision of supervision over subordinate supervisors and team leaders, and indirect supervision over other employees. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Assigning and reviewing work, identifying training needs, addressing grievances or complaints of employees and interviewing applicants for vacant positions. AND (2). Analyzing and planning organization work priorities, budget requirements and goals related to natural resources management, flood risk management, security, environmental management, park recreation facilities, and construction or repair of roads, grounds and facilities. AND (3) experience in areas of contracting to include inspecting and monitoring contractor progress and contract compliance, negotiations and modifications to contract specifications.
