Job Title: Shipping Associate (12:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.) Job Description
The Shipping Associate plays a key role in the warehouse operation by accurately preparing, organizing, and dispatching customer and stock orders. Working under established guidelines and direct supervision, this position focuses on material handling, order assembly, and data entry to ensure products are correctly processed and moved through the facility for timely distribution.
Responsibilities
Generate shipping manifests for dispatch and confirm customer and stock orders in accordance with established procedures.
Interpret warehouse documents to determine which items need to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Open cartons, sort merchandise, and relocate items from receiving or production areas to designated storage or processing locations.
Organize and place merchandise on racks, shelves, totes, or bins according to a predetermined sequence or system.
Prepare products for distribution within the facility, ensuring items are properly staged and ready for the next processing step.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place completed orders on pallets, shelves, or conveyors for transfer to packing or shipping areas.
Receive, store, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products while following established warehouse guidelines and safety practices.
Arrange stock parts in specified sequences to support assembly work performed by other team members.
Create and enter manifest records into the warehouse computer system with accurate and timely data entry.
Perform picking, packing, shipping, and basic auditing tasks to maintain inventory accuracy and order quality.
Follow all safety rules and operational procedures while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Essential Skills
Fluent English language skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak clearly.
0-6 months of warehouse experience in roles such as material handling, picking, packing, shipping, or auditing.
Ability to interpret warehouse documents and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Basic computer skills to create and enter records into a warehouse management or manifest system.
Strong attention to detail to ensure orders, manifests, and inventory movements are accurate.
Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and follow established guidelines.
Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing merchandise in a warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
No formal certifications required for hire at this level.
Willingness to obtain certification on CROWN trucks upon permanent hire.
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent movement of forklifts and hand carts.
Ability to maintain focus and productivity without the use of personal electronics in the warehouse.
Reliability and readiness to learn warehouse processes and procedures for long-term growth.

Work Environment
This role is based in a fast-paced warehouse environment featuring narrow aisles where forklifts and hand carts move rapidly in safety-conscious directions. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Personal cell phones and electronic devices are not permitted in the warehouse to maintain safety and focus. Appropriate footwear such as sneakers, boots, or steel-toe shoes is required to support safe movement throughout the aisles and work areas.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $13.00/hr.
