Hiring Pay Ranges: $26.25 - $46.75 per hour

The hiring pay range for this position is commensurate with the level of relevant experience and education.

Summary
The AML Investigator is a subject matter expert responsible for combatting illicit financial activity by assisting the BSA Officer to maintain compliance with the legal and regulatory requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Office of Foreign Asset Controls (OFAC) and related requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintains up-to-date, in-depth knowledge with the Bank Secrecy Act and related regulatory requirements.
Maintains a thorough knowledge of the bank's BSA, CIP and OFAC programs, policies and procedures.
Supports BSA Analysts through training, guidance and quality control of suspicious activity reports (SARs), enhanced due diligence reviews, currency transaction reports (CTRs) and related tasks.
Files SARs, CTRs and designations of exempt persons (DOEPs) with FinCEN.
Independently organize, prioritize and assign tasks to ensure ongoing compliance
Identifies and escalates potential emerging risks.
Liaises with law enforcement regarding elder and at-risk adult financial exploitation.
Conducts investigations to identify and report money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and other financial crimes.
Performs enhanced due diligence reviews of high-risk customers.
Assist the BSA Officer to prepare BSA, OFAC and Identity Theft Risk Assessments.
Assist the BSA Officer to produce, prepare and present data for audits and regulatory examinations.
Draft bank and department procedures. Analyzes and prepares currency transaction reports.
Assists staff throughout the bank to comply with various BSA-related requirements.
Reviews and triages alerts of potential suspicious activity and watch list violations.
Maintains current knowledge as well as knowledge and consistent compliance with other banking regulations and Bank policies and procedures related to the position.
Delivers quality of service as defined by department standards.
Maintains confidentiality as defined by department standards.

Education and/or Experience
AML Investigator I
Three years of financial industry or law enforcement experience or two years anti-financial crimes experience (i.e. BSA, Fraud, Cards).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Advanced experience (i.e. 3+ years) with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
Advanced understanding of banking products, services, forms, and regulations preferred.

AML Investigator II
Four years of financial industry or law enforcement experience or three years anti-financial crimes experience (i.e. BSA, Fraud, Cards).
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Advanced experience (i.e. 3+ years) with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.
Advanced understanding of banking products, services, forms, and regulations preferred.
