Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the Procure to Pay team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position is well suited to someone who enjoys detailed administrative work and has a solid foundation in accounts payable and supplier-related support. The ideal candidate will help maintain accurate payment processing, contribute to efficient daily operations, and work effectively with standard business software, with Oracle experience considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner while verifying supporting documentation and payment details.

Review and assign appropriate coding to invoices to ensure expenses are recorded correctly within the financial system.

Assist with scheduled payment activities, including preparing and supporting check run processes.

Maintain supplier records and update account information to support accurate transactions and communication.

Investigate invoice discrepancies and coordinate with internal teams or suppliers to resolve outstanding issues.

Monitor accounts payable transactions to help keep records complete, organized, and audit ready.

Use Microsoft Office applications to track work, prepare reports, and manage day-to-day administrative tasks.

Support ongoing departmental priorities and provide administrative assistance within the procure-to-pay function as needed. Requirements - Prior experience in accounts payable or a similar administrative finance role.

Working knowledge of invoice processing and expense coding practices.

Familiarity with check run procedures and payment support activities.

Ability to manage a high volume of detailed transactions with accuracy and consistency.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.

Experience with Oracle is preferred.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
