Job Title: Construction Laborer (Traveling)
Job Description
This role combines hands-on construction labor with traveling technician responsibilities to support a variety of field projects. You perform general manual labor tasks such as loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials, while assisting with hydro-excavation, storm and sewer line cleaning, and pipe-jetting. You work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks and special projects safely, efficiently, and with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving construction materials and equipment.
Assist with hydro-excavation activities, ensuring safe and efficient operation around underground utilities and work sites.
Support storm and sewer line cleaning using appropriate tools and equipment to maintain and clear infrastructure.
Assist with pipe-jetting operations to clean and maintain pipelines and related systems.
Carry out miscellaneous related duties as assigned to support project completion and site productivity.
Execute special projects as directed, adapting to changing tasks and priorities in the field.
Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
Collaborate as an active member of a field team, communicating clearly and supporting coworkers to achieve project goals.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working outdoors and around excavation and construction activities.
Travel to various project locations, often outside the local area, and adjust to different job sites and conditions.
Work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends, to meet project deadlines and operational needs.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated ability to perform general construction labor, including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.
Experience in field service or outdoor work environments where tasks vary by project.
Ability to assist with pipe laying, hydro-excavation, excavation, and related construction activities.
Capability to support storm and sewer line cleaning and pipe-jetting operations.
Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift at least 80 pounds on a regular basis.
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as an active, reliable member of a team.
Willingness and ability to work in excess of regularly scheduled hours when necessary, including nights and weekends.
Ability to travel regularly, with most projects located outside the immediate local area.
Strong alignment with the company's culture and work ethic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in construction, field service, or general labor roles.
Hands-on experience with hydrovac operations, excavation, and pipe laying is beneficial.
Comfort working in varied outdoor conditions and on different @types of project sites.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility for safety and quality.
Willingness to learn new techniques and equipment used in hydro-excavation and line cleaning.

Work Environment
This position is primarily outdoors, with the specific location varying by project. You work on different job sites that may involve excavation, pipe laying, and storm and sewer system maintenance. Hours can extend beyond a standard schedule, with frequent overtime and the need to work nights and weekends depending on project demands. The role requires regular travel, as most projects are not local, and you should be prepared for changing weather conditions, uneven terrain, and physically demanding tasks typical of construction and field service environments. Appropriate work attire for outdoor construction settings is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
