Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description
The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, organizes, and issues materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. This role ensures accurate inventory records, maintains a clean and safe storage environment, and supports efficient material handling operations across the facility.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and accurately record data either manually or using computer systems.
Count and reconcile stock items, comparing inventory records with physical counts to identify discrepancies and adjust errors as needed.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently.
Store materials in an orderly, accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas to support efficient retrieval.
Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to maintain clear and consistent item identification.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations and facility standards.
Keep detailed records of stock usage, damage, and the handling of stock equipment to support accurate inventory management and reporting.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, promptly reporting any issues to supervisors for further action.
Provide assistance and direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support smooth, coordinated operations.
Essential Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills to document inventory accurately and collaborate effectively with team members.
Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve stock-related issues.
Ability to work as a team player with a high level of attention to detail in all inventory and storage tasks.
Knowledge of relevant warehouse and security equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies that support effective protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
High school diploma or GED.
5-7 years of experience in warehouse or material handling roles, with previous titles such as Material Handler.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with inventory, receiving, and storage processes in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
Familiarity with basic computer systems or inventory management tools for recording and tracking stock.
Understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse or storage yard setting.
Ability to inspect materials and equipment for wear or defects and take appropriate follow-up actions.
Previous experience providing guidance or support to other warehouse or stockroom workers.

Work Environment
This position is based in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard environment where you handle a variety of materials and equipment. You work primarily on a daytime shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, supporting steady, predictable hours. You use labeling tools, basic computer systems, and standard material handling equipment while following established safety regulations to maintain clean, orderly, and compliant workspaces.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
