Job Title: Water Truck Driver
Job Description
This role operates a 2,000-gallon water truck on a large construction site to support dust control and site maintenance, while also assisting with minor construction-related tasks for part of the day. You help maintain safe and compliant site conditions by performing simple measurements and documentation tasks alongside your driving responsibilities. Shift: 6am-12pm
Responsibilities
Operate a standard 2,000-gallon water truck to support dust control across a large construction site.
Drive safely throughout the site, following all traffic and safety rules applicable to construction environments.
Perform daily inspections of the water truck, reporting any mechanical or safety issues promptly.
Assist construction management with minor field tasks when not driving the truck, typically for approximately two hours per day.
Measure distances between module edges and the ground to verify compliance with project specifications.
Accurately mark plan sets and record areas where measurements are below specification to help quantify and resolve site issues.
Work collaboratively with site supervisors and construction teams to support ongoing construction activities.
Maintain clear and organized records of measurements and observations as requested by site management.
Follow all site safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment in a desert construction environment.
Support general site cleanliness and organization related to dust control and water truck operations.
Essential Skills
Proven experience operating a water truck on construction sites.
Hands-on site construction experience in a field environment.
Knowledge of dust control practices and procedures on active construction projects.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in a large, busy construction site.
Basic measurement skills, including the ability to accurately measure distances between structures and ground surfaces.
Ability to read and mark construction plan sets or site drawings as directed.
Strong attention to detail when recording measurements and site conditions.
Reliability and punctuality in reporting to the site and completing assigned tasks.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from construction management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Familiarity with general construction terminology and processes.
Comfort working in a desert environment with varying temperatures and outdoor conditions.
Good communication skills for coordinating with supervisors and other site personnel.
Basic recordkeeping and documentation skills related to site measurements and observations.

Work Environment

Work involves moving throughout the site, performing measurements at modules and ground level, and adhering to all construction safety protocols, including use of appropriate personal protective equipment and site-specific procedures.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
