Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As the Senior Manager, Resource Strategy & Planning, you will be the architect of how we deploy our most critical asset - our people - to capture growth across markets. You will own the source of truth for resource analytics, build the business cases that frame our biggest investment decisions, and translate workforce data into the strategic insights that shape our organization.
You will operate at the intersection of resource strategy, financial analytics, and organizational design - partnering closely with Finance, People, International Markets, and Sam's Club Connect to ensure we have the right capabilities in the right places to win.
About the team:
Walmart Connect (WMC) is a key pillar of Walmart's enterprise growth strategy. As the retail media arm of the world's largest omnichannel retailer, Walmart Connect (WMC) operates a multi-billion-dollar closed-loop advertising business that connects brands to customers across digital and in-store touchpoints.
Walmart Connect delivers measurable outcomes for suppliers, sellers, merchants, and brand advertisers through full-funnel advertising solutions powered by Walmart's first-party data.
As Walmart Connect continues expanding its advertising capabilities across international markets and in close coordination with Sam's Club's Member Access Platform (MAP), we are creating a central Business Planning capability to accelerate advertising growth.
What you'll do:
Build and maintain the centralized source of truth for resources across all International Markets, with standardized classification frameworks.
Develop and publish efficiency ratios and analytics on a regular cadence to inform leadership decision-making.
Build business cases and size-of-prize analyses that frame major investment decisions, quantify opportunities, and inform strategic planning across the organization.
Integrate resource planning into AOP and LRP cycles, ensuring workforce strategy is aligned with business strategy.
Lead plan-to-actuals tracking with Finance and scenario modeling for organizational changes, including business case validation post-investment.
Create materials and analyses for executive reviews that translate workforce and resource data into clear strategic narratives.
What you'll bring:
A strategic finance or planning leader with 6+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate strategy roles, ideally within tech, retail media, or platform @contexts.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; SQL or equivalent analytics tools.
Proven experience developing business cases and size-of-prize analyses that informed major investment decisions.
Org and capability literacy - comfortable navigating role taxonomies, compensation bands, and capability mapping.
Exceptional executive communication and proven ability to influence across Finance, People, International Markets, and Sam's Club Connect.
A storyteller with data - turns complex analytics into clear strategic narratives; builds repeatable processes rather than one-off analyses.
