Overview
We are seeking an Asset Management / Inventory Control Specialist to support IT warehouse operations in Plainfield, IN. This role combines warehouse responsibilities with IT asset management, ensuring technology equipment is accurately received, tagged, tracked, stored, and distributed.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who wants to gain exposure to IT hardware and asset management processes.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming IT equipment shipments
Break down pallets and verify shipment accuracy
Process inventory and maintain accurate records
Tag laptops, desktops, monitors, and other technology assets
Update asset information within inventory management systems
Utilize Excel and internal databases for tracking and reporting
Organize and maintain warehouse inventory locations
Pick, pack, and ship equipment to internal customers
Perform inventory audits and cycle counts
Move inventory using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
Support equipment decommissioning, recycling, and disposal processes
Assist with testing, cleaning, and refurbishing returned equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience
Experience handling inventory, pallets, or warehouse logistics
Asset management or inventory tracking experience
Familiarity with laptops, desktops, thin clients, or other computer hardware
Microsoft Office and Excel proficiency
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to stand and move throughout the workday
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with asset management tools such as Cherwell or ServiceNow
Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems
Asset tagging or barcode scanning experience
IT support, desktop support, or technical warehouse experience
Forklift experience (training may be provided)
Work Environment
Fast-paced IT warehouse environment
Combination of physical labor and computer-based inventory management
Frequent lifting, stocking, picking, and shipping of equipment
Collaborative team setting

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
