Job Title: Field Sales and Business Recruitment Specialist
$32.00 Base Pay + Uncapped Commission + Mileage Reimbursement
Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to help launch a new delivery partner program by recruiting local small businesses across several communities in Washington. You will work in the field most of the week, visiting prospective businesses, presenting the program, qualifying leads, and guiding applicants through the enrollment process. You will collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors to drive community-based recruitment, coordinate events, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce. The position involves regular travel within a two-hour round-trip driving radius and offers uncapped commission for each partner successfully converted into the program.
Responsibilities
Visit prospective small businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately one hour driving distance.
Present and pitch the new delivery partner program to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying.
Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through the full application process.
Lead follow-up activities with prospective and active applicants to maintain engagement and move them through the pipeline.
Manage and track all lead and applicant activity in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
Import Excel spreadsheets and upload or enter activity data into Salesforce on a weekly basis.
Collaborate with the Field Manager and other local contractors to plan and host recruitment events in the community, such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
Work with the Field Manager to engage local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to build awareness and drive referrals.
Drive referrals through community organizations and other local networks to expand the pool of potential partner businesses.
Provide exceptional customer service to prospective partners by answering questions, addressing concerns, and offering support throughout the application and onboarding process.
Identify and resolve issues applicants encounter in the field by using problem-solving skills and available tools.
Maintain a high sense of urgency in outreach, follow-up, and pipeline management to meet recruitment targets.
Demonstrate professionalism and enthusiasm when interacting with business owners, community partners, and internal team members.
Use multiple technology systems effectively to support field activities, data entry, communication, and reporting.
Travel daily within a two-hour round-trip distance to cover assigned territories and meet with businesses.
Conduct follow-up and administrative work from home, including updating Salesforce, preparing reports, and planning future visits and events.
Essential Skills
At least 2+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
Proven outside or field sales experience.
CRM experience required, with Salesforce strongly preferred.
Demonstrated account management experience, including managing a pipeline of prospects or customers.
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with business owners.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for pitching, presenting, and follow-up.
Ability to negotiate and influence decision-makers in a sales or customer-facing environment.
High level of professionalism and a strong sense of urgency in completing tasks and following up with prospects.
Strong attention to detail, especially when entering data and managing multiple leads and applications.
Proven problem-solving skills to support applicants and resolve issues in the field.
Tech-savvy mindset with experience working with multiple systems and technologies.
Ability to travel up to a two-hour round-trip distance on a daily basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior field sales experience is a plus beyond the required outside sales exposure.
Previous experience in roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers is highly beneficial.
Comfort engaging with community organizations, chambers of commerce, and economic development associations.
Experience planning or supporting events such as lunch-and-learn sessions, town hall meetings, or community outreach activities.
Interest in building community partnerships with small businesses and local influencers.
Motivation to work in a performance-driven environment with uncapped commission opportunities.
Work Environment
This is a field-based role covering multiple areas in Washington, with positions available in or near Elma, Olympia, Lakewood, Bremerton, and Tacoma. You will spend approximately 80% of your time in the field and 20% working from home on follow-up and administrative tasks. Field work involves traveling up to a two-hour round-trip distance to visit local businesses, attend community events, and meet with partners. You will use tools such as Salesforce for CRM, Excel for data handling, and various technology platforms to manage leads and track performance. The work environment emphasizes collaboration with a Field Manager, local contractors, and community organizations to build strong small business partnerships. The role offers uncapped commission potential, including payments per partner application, per partner reaching ready-to-launch status, and for partners remaining active after launch. Additional benefits include paid mileage reimbursement and a monthly phone expense allowance, as well as eligibility for paid time off after a successful performance review.
