Job Description
This role involves building wall panels and trusses in a high-volume manufacturing environment, using hand and power tools to assemble wooden components with metal plates. You will work closely with a team to accurately measure, cut, and assemble materials, contributing directly to the production of structural building elements.
Responsibilities
Assemble wall panels and wooden trusses using hand and power tools, including hammers, nail guns, and tape measures.
Swing a hammer for extended periods to securely pound metal plates into wooden trusses and ensure structural integrity.
Work on wall panel or truss builder tables that are approximately 3 feet high, including frequently stepping or jumping on and off the tables to assemble trusses properly.
Read and interpret tape measurements accurately to cut and assemble materials according to specifications.
Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced shop environment to meet daily production goals.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, materials, and workstations.
Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
Adapt to working in different areas of the facility, including inside the manufacturing buildings and outside in the yard or loading area as needed.
Support general construction and framing tasks as required, including handling concrete-related work when necessary.
Essential Skills
Prior construction experience, including hands-on work in framing or similar roles.
Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for cutting and assembling materials.
Proficiency with common construction tools such as hammers, nail guns, and other hand and power tools.
Physical ability to swing a hammer forcefully and repeatedly to drive metal plates into wooden trusses.
Capability to safely work on and around 3-foot-high truss tables, including stepping or jumping on and off them throughout the shift.
Comfort working in a physically demanding role that requires standing, lifting, and repetitive motions for up to 10-hour shifts.
Experience working in a team environment within construction or manufacturing settings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
History in general construction, framing, or concrete work.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production shop environment.
Familiarity with assembling structural components such as wall panels or trusses.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and production plans with attention to accuracy and quality.

Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing facility with multiple buildings dedicated to different stages of production. You will work around several truss tables in one area and cutting saws in another, with some duties performed outdoors in the yard and loading areas. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a 7:00 a.m. start on the first day. The environment is active and production-focused, with regular use of construction tools such as hammers, nail guns, tape measures, and saws. The work is physically demanding and involves standing for long periods, repetitive hammering, handling lumber and metal plates, and moving between indoor shop areas and outdoor yard spaces.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $26.00/hr.
