Job Title: Medical RepresentativeJob Description

Join a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of the workforce. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to work closely with the WHS site manager, WHS specialist, and occasionally the Injury Prevention Specialist (IPS). As an OMR, you will independently assess and administer first aid, offer guidance on injuries or illnesses, and refer care to outside medical providers as needed. You will play a crucial role in supporting health and wellness principles and ensuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Provide first aid support and make referrals to outside medical providers as necessary.

Minimize the risk of injury through awareness, education, and proactive engagement.

Maintain all records of care provided to associates.

Coordinate and maintain workers' compensation and return to work programs for work-related injuries.

Provide daily activity logs and end of shift reports.

Engage with associates and leadership to provide coaching on safe work habits.

Maintain a clean working environment and ensure appropriate medical supply inventory.

Participate in training and certification to facilitate first aid, CPR, and AED classes.

Maintain all first aid, CPR, and AED credentials.

Work flexible shifts including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Assist with random saliva drug testing protocols.

Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist emergency response on site.

Essential Skills

High School or equivalent diploma.

Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by an approved emergency cardiac care (ECC) provider.

Current valid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic Certification from the Department of Health or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience with an industrial wellness program.

Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics.

Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation.

Proficient in digital record management.

Six months of job experience in the Military as a Combat Medic, Field Medic, Healthcare Specialist, Hospital Corpsman, or Aerospace Medical Service Technician.

Work Environment

Positions involve shift work with one role covering Wednesday-Saturday nights (6:00 PM to 4:30 AM) and another covering Sunday-Wednesday days (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM). Both positions require weekend and holiday coverage with up to 55 hours weekly, including 15 hours overtime, particularly during high-volume periods. You will work in environments with varying noise levels and variable temperatures, including outside loading departments. The role involves physical activity such as lifting up to 49 pounds, frequently pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, and standing/walking for up to 12 hours during shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.
